Knights of the Cross

The knightly order of the Iocan church more commonly known as the Crimson Blades. Led by Grand Lord Preceptor Roland Guildenstern, they were Cardinal Batistum's hatchetmen for the most part, and the upper echelons of the order all dabbled in the Dark to varying degrees. They were caught up in the Graylands Incident, due to Batistum wanting to keep Léa Monde out of the hands of the Valendia Knights of the Peace.

Léa Monde decimated the upper echelons of the Blades. Those who didn't succumb to undead fiends or Sydney Losstarot's loyal followers, were taken out by the one man killing machine, VKP Agent Ashley Riot. Guildenstern murdered his own fiance, Knight Commander Samantha Harvey as a sacrifice to the Dark, and then himself was killed by Ashley. Knight Commander Neesa Khazeni was the only Crimson Blade to survive the city's destruction (her lover, Knight Commander Tieger Quardez, died saving her as they tried to escape the imploding city).

Neesa was promoted to Grand Lord Preceptor in the wake of Guildenstern's death, but never had a chance to rebuild the order. Valendia fell a scant two years later.
