Deus Ex Machina

The deus ex Machine has no onboard weapons. It has an orb in its chest, and two gauntlets, that allow for channeling of psionics. The machine moves through telekinesis, can be made effectively invisible through telepathy ('this is not the giant robot you're looking for'), and has tremendous psychokinetic control over matter and energy. The gaunlets are able to create 'psionic blades' of pure thought, which can be tuned to completely ignore inanimate matter and effect only living minds. This effectively allows the blades to pass through any mecha's armor and kill the pilot inside.

It is widely believed that the Deus ex Machina amplifies the abilities of the pilot. Unknown to all but a handful of trusted agents inside the Celpo, the machine's psychic abilities actually come from Marion Sjet, a human minder who has been fused with the machine as its living core.
