2007 Figgies Sarana Clip
Sarana experienced many drastic changes in her life in a short period of time: the betrayal of her sister, the death of her husband, the death of her father, the loss of her nation and birthright. But this is Sarana at her most broken and helpless. This is the event that gave rise to the Sarana that walks the Highland jungles at night and is becoming the focus of the Pongo's death-centered faith.

Inside the Cathedral there was no noise except the intruding sounds of battle from without. The aisles were empty and the organs silent. Dusky light filtered in from the giant windows on either side of the sanctuary, and a great blue orb of stained glass rose above the altar. Sarana lay in a pile of broken glass, struggling to gain control over her broken body. The Cathedral doors opened, and, somewhere, a frog croaked in response.
The demonic silhouette of Trubolon filled the Cathedral’s portal. His legs were arched and thick, his shoulders broad, tilting down. The single Krydion wing rose from his back behind his head. He sniffed the air.
“Princess,” Trubolon hissed. “I’m glad we have this chance to meet again.”
Sarana did not reply. Crouched below the pews where she hoped she was unseen, she crawled on bloody arms, pulling herself towards the door. Trubolon took several heavy steps down the center aisle.
“You know it’s odd, Princess—I never had any urgings for any females except those fierce warriors from my own clan. Never, until now.” With the quick and savage motion Trubolon surged forward, knocking several pews on end. He found nothing. Sarana pushed herself into a darkened corner.
“Perhaps it’s your husband, stirring within me,” said the Highlander. “Perhaps his lust now infects me. There is no other explanation, is there?” He laughed, a short, barking noise.
Sarana bit her lip to halt a sobbing cough. She could see the light from the open door now. She was so close. With a thunderous crash two clawed feet filled the expanse of her vision, and shadows fells across her body.
“I have you now.”
And Sarana screamed, because it was true.
