History
Hal was born into a fairly normal family from Nikeah. He was the son of a bartender, and grew up watching television in his father's sport's bar. He grew up wanting to be a professional football player, but this was ultimately derailed when the Leviathan War broke out. He enlisted at the age of seventeen, later into the war, and joined the Republic Expeditionary Force as an Ifrit Power Armor pilot. He proved himself in the REF's battles, despite his young age, and successfully destroyed four Dracoforms in the last months of the war. He became a KN Garrison pilot at the end of the war, ultimately working his way into the prestigious Spatial Heavy Irregulars Vehicular Assault Teams mechanized Special Forces.
There, he rose through the ranks and earned numerous enemy kills while taking action against the Unbound. He competed with his fellow ace, Leonard Sorgund, all the while. However, after a mission classified top secret in 44 WR, Burgess requested a transfer to the far more peaceful KN Development Project. There, he serves as a military advisor and secondary test pilot for the development of the KN Sentinel. He keeps his old KN Garrison Commando on hand, to test it as need be.
