Except for Matt who posted to Kupopolis (story) Kupopolis a few times. It was during this year long break that the term "Proper" was coined to differentiate the ongoing Kupopolis from her spin-off.
The reason that the hiatus was one year+ instead of one year as originally intended was that Jerry took way too long writing his final megapost. In his defense it was really freaking long. Also, after the story was done it was decided that Neo Figgies would be held, and then Iron Writer was held that fall, pushing back the kickoff of Proper even further.
