I can't believe I didn't point this out when I originally wrote this article, but the opening prayer is a slightly re-worked version of the Orphic Hymn to Thanatos, chosen for the tongue-in-cheek value (the original has a reference to "Manna"). It's the Hellenist dork in me. There's some other references to ancient Greek Paganism in there, both obscure and anvilicious. "Lekythen" is the name given to a type of vessel, specifically Attic funerary vases, and "Erebus" is variously the God of Darkness or a region of the Underworld, depending upon who you ask. --Aurora 01:13, 27 May 2009 (PDT)
