Sir Scorpius is one of the five Knights of the Square Table, noted for his cunning and guile both on the battlefield and off. Scorpius wields the sword Stingblade, forged by the Guru Melchior specifically for the Knights of the Square Table. Stingblade houses the spirit Suchinga, which manifests itself as a man-sized humanoid scorpion creature. Sir Scorpius relies heavily upon ZAPS field intelligence, as well as the lower Knights of the Shield, who supply him with direct intelligence on Guardia's enemies -- and her allies. Scorpius is the patron of the Order of the Shield.

Scorpius is one of the least reputable figures among the Knights of the Square Table -- and with good reason. He is sometimes thought of as the Guardian equivalent of Praxer Riose, though that may be going a bit far.

It is worth noting that Scorpius' predecessor, who stepped down just as the Syndicate Wars were ending, was also named Scorpius. As was that Knight's predecessor, and the one before him, and the one before him. Also worth noting is the fact that Scorpius does not appear to have aged a day in the time that he has served as Patron of the Order of the Shield. Also worth noting is that he has never been seen without full armor and the visor of his helm drawn.

Apart from his involvement with a loose-cannon spy agency and his general aura of creepiness, there is no shortage of material for conspiracy theorists who specialize in dealing with Sir Scorpius -- if that is his real name.
