Cecilia was born in Baron. She has heard voices from a very early age, and at the prompting of those voices the girl went off to become a Paladin.

Cecilia is not the girl's given name; she adopted it after her pilgrimage up Mount Ordeals. She operates in defiance of the order of Knights Templar, claiming that her ways are the ways of the true Paladin because she believes she is a reincarnation of Baron's King Cecil Harvey.

She despises the Templar, claiming that they are false and, as Cecil risen again in mortal form, she is the Way for Baronian Redemption.

Of course, Cecilia has yet to attract the cult following she might have expected, and the Kingdom of Baron has not taken kindly to the eccentric paladin's preaching. So Cecilia left, and remembering a kindness done her by Tarvo Earthblade when the goblin was serving with the Grand Army in Baron, joined Earthblade Mercenaries to help further the causes of this good, pious merchant. Tarvo maintains the Paladin's loyalty by playing along with her sermonizing; the zealot never notices that Tarvo is having her on. She has been with Tarvo for several years and acts with Yllidel ("the Redeemed Dark One," Cecilia calls her) as the goblin's bodyguard.

It may be worth keeping in mind that even though the Paladins Templar believe Cecilia is a heretic, her divine powers come from *somewhere*, they are most certainly Holy in nature... and, most curiously, despite the fact that she is old enough to have fought during the Great War, she appears as vital and strong as a 20 year old.
