Spice

"Spice" is a drug produced almost exclusively in Naba'al. Spice, as its name implies, outwardly resembles many more common household spices, like cinnamon. It can be taken with food or mixed with drinks, though most serious users will snort it.

Spice is an hallucinogenic drug. While on a spice trip, the user experiences hallucinations and waking dreams that seem almost tailor-made for the users fantasies. It is almost quite literally a view of a different reality. Habitual users have a hard-time distinguishing between their ideal, spice-induced visions and actual reality. Sensations of pleasure are intensified while on the high; after using spice only a few times, the 'real world' seems dull and flat by comparison.

A few users go even further, claiming that the Spice has "mind-expanding" properties allowing their consciousness to "transcend time and space." A few have even insisted that the Spice has anti-agathic properties, though clinical studies of the drug have been inconclusive. All agree, however, that the Spice is highly addictive.

Its relative rarity in the Core has only served to make it more expensive and desirable; Spice is a 'rich man's drug', costing thousands of GP for a single dose of 'the good stuff'.
