Cranskar Transport Aircraft

The Cranskar is the principle large aerial tansport used by the Scandian League. A large transport aircraft, created to rapidly supply units in need and deliver equipment to Scande’s allies. A large, 6-engined craft with a cargo bay capable of carrying several Platinum tanks or Julian APCs, but not a Dracoform. It can paradrop equipment outside the large rear doors. It should be noted that SLCM-Ground is a supply hog; lack of fuel contributed to the draw at second Hosluftgrad. Concentrating a large force can take the SLCM considerable time, and the improvements and upgrades of the post-Leviathan War have only made this worse. Air transport is largely reserved for out-of-the-way places (like the orkish jungle) or emergencies; most Scandian equipment is moved by sea. Although the Cranskar used to be operated by SLCM-Air, currently it is under the aegis of SLCM-Ground Logistic Command.

Helicopters

Skeeter Anti-Submarine Warfare Helicopter

The lone helicopter in SLCM’s arsenal is a small, light affair equipped with sonar and depth charges for sub-hunting. It has short range, but is useful for dealing with enemy submersibles. The Scandians are debating expanding their helicopter program to other types, but are concerned about the ability to project air superiority on land. A Skeeter variant is sometimes used by S/31 to insert agents.
