Ajax the Scholar

Founder of the Kracian city of Ajaxae, Ajax the Scholar was quite possible the first Mana Mage of Mana Elementalist Magic. Thousands of years ago, he claimed that magic, like all things, could be controlled by man's reason and scientific principles. The Mana Priests at the time regarded this as nonsense, until Ajax succeeded in using hermetic invocations to call forth Elemental spirits. He and his followers (the Ajaxae) founded a city in central Greater Woldheim dedicated to his teaching; it played an important leadership role in the War against the Centaurs.
