Lekythen
The massive scythe wielded by the Dark God Thanatos. A sentient weapon that possesses a small measure of the God's will, it can assume the form of any weapon he so chooses. However, it usually appears as a scythe, or occasionally a huge two-handed sword with a curved blade. Its appearance can also change depending on the form Thanatos himself takes; when he wields it in Lich God form, it appears to be made from bone and human skin, adorned with raven feathers. In his human-looking form, it appears to be made of solid black adamantium and black crystals.
Legend states that Lekythen was forged by draconic craftsmen of meteoric ore in the far distant mists of time, from the star that fell to create the Purelands. A passage in the Nox Arcanum suggests that its shifting ability was gained after Thanatos used the weapon to murder a God of the Changelings. However, being from the Nox Arcanum, that particular bit of lore has been disputed over time.
Talisden, flaming sword of the Light God Tahran, is generally considered to be Lekythen's opposite.
