Kaiten was a hero of the Great War who wielded an immortal-forged bastard sword known as Peace. He commanded Grand Army troops in several campaigns. Eventually he married Nina and became King of Winlan, and he and his country were some of the most fervent participants in the Great War. However he vanished in the postwar unrest in that country and it was soon annexed by the Tasnica Republic.
Early History
Kaiten was born in a kingdom called Penhaligon in the Carrion Dimension. He and his two brothers (Crimson and Dorian) are the only survivors of Penhaligon, as the Kingdom was wiped out by Thanatos for some reason.
While Crimson would flee Penhaligon and eventually come to be crowned King of the Kingdom of Carrion, and Dorian came to serve Thanatos and the Dark Gods (eventually becoming a Dark God himself), Kaiten fled into the Web outside Carrion. He sought a way to avenge the loss of his loved ones, and so inevitably ended up fighting alongside the Grand Army.
Kaiten's travels took him to Winlan, where he met and fell in love with the Winlanese princess Nina. As he betrothed, Kaiten was made the leader of the Winlanese Army. He also came into possession of a magic sword called Peace -- which, during a battle against his fallen brother Dorian, was imbued with one of the three shards of Sai Maelis. The sword also contained the magicite essence of a wind-elemental esper named Sairon, who used his magic to enhance Kaiten's senses whenever he wielded the sword.
Kaiten eventually did slay Thanatos, and also married Nina to become the King of Winlan. His ultimate fate after the Great War, and his current whereabouts, are unknown.
