Sloos was the first Beeba to serve as Governor of Acacia. He was elected by referrendum shortly after the Cleansing Wars, and won largely based on robust support from Acacia’s noble non-human populations – Dwarves, Beebas, Goblins and Demi-humans. Following his election, Sloos settled into the Governor’s Mansion in Termina rather nicely, and brought with him an administration staff comprised mostly of the races that helped him into office. This unlikely non-human coalition, which Sloos had dubbed a "cabinet that looks like El Nido," had many problems to deal with from its first day in office, not the least of which was reconstruction from the war.
There were many who believed that Sloos had presidential aspirations, but as Governor he tended to focus most of his energy on local affairs on Acacia. Sloos snubbed Sparky Watcha when he called for a meeting of the Body of Governors, sending one of his cabinet ministers, Paolo Cartwright, in his place. Cartwright went on to draft El Nido's Constitution, win support from the other Governors as President, and then successfully challenged Pingul for the statehouse in Termina in a bitter, mud-slinging campaign.
Sloos Pingul has since announced that he is permanently retiring from politics, "having accomplished everything I set out to do."
