Jackscrews

Orbital shock troops employed heavily by the Roanese Empire during their war of expansion. They launch from orbitals, or less often ships, and descend on screw-like draglines on radar-evading vectors.

Their functions include insertion behind enemy lines in order to cut off supply lines, softening up areas for the main thrust of an attack, and catching enemy forces in pincher attacks with the main Manx army.
