Triangle Sect
The Schism which resulted in the Triangle Sect is not aknowledged as history in Ironesse and has been forgotten in Esper by all but the Authorians. In time out of mind the Prophetess died without a natural heir, and two girls claimed to have been given the gift of the line by the ailing woman. One held the palace at Wyndongarr, and she became Prophetess of the Eternal Way. The other escaped to the Granger Pact Lands, where she gathered followers to her own dogma of the Triangle. She taught that all devotees of the Way, that is all who choose to follow the Way, are spiritual heirs to Deus Irae -- not only the Prophetess.
Her cause was helped by the fact that she held the gift of prophecy, making her very popular among the people of the pact lands. She would have been content to live out her life under the shadow of her former spirit-sister, as a mere Priestess of the Way, but the people raised her up and the Triangle Sect became an annoyance to the Empire.
First the sect was driven from the pact lands, and then they were driven underground, forced to live, landless, within their Zone Eaters. Finally they were forced from Dantic altogether, fleeing under intense pressure from the Anemos Knights. They eventually reached Esper and founded their own nation there on an island which would come to have their name.
