Ilmarinen Heaven-Hammer
Ilmarinen Heaven-Hammer is the principal deity of the pantheon of gods worshipped by the Dwarves of the Underground Kingdom. In Dwarven scripture, Ilmarinen is responsible for the creation of the Dwarven race, as well as the shaping of the world.
While it is not explicitly stated, it is assumed by Dwarven clergy that Ilmarinen is married to another central figure in the Dwarven religion, Barda Life-Anvil, the mother-goddess of the Dwarves.
In addition to siring the Dwarven race, Ilmarinen and Barda together "forged" (which is what it literally says in the scripture) two sons and a daughter. The two sons were Trakk Yoke-Holder and Gainas Stone-Carver, who were deities of labor and together served their father in helping the Dwarves to build their kingdom. Gainas taught the Dwarves the secrets of masonry and construction, and helped them to build strong, impregnable cities and fortresses. Trakk taught the Dwarves to tame the Ironback lizards, and to nourish and care for them as a source of food and burden. With the ability to cut stone and herd Ironbacks, Dwarven civilization could thrive.
Ilmarinen and Barda's daughter became far more celebrated than her two brothers. She was Glaudhe Hearth-Keeper, and her principal aspect was to do with the home and the keeping of it. But when it became apparent to Dwarves that the Hearth needed more than simple tending (such as with the appearance of the Goblins and the Gray Dwarves, and the hated Dark Elves), Glaudhe took up an axe as the Hearth's defender. In this way, Glaudhe became the Dwarven goddess of war, and is today the patron deity of the Dwarven Hearthguard.
