Professional sports were put on hiatus during the Great War. After the war it was not a top priority to rebuild. However, after several years of college-level play, the seed was planted. No less a figure than Rhodes Palmerston (a former sports agent) helped three Web-spanning pro sports leagues: the Interdimensional Football League, the Web Basketball Association, and the Transnational Soccer League in 37 WR. Other sports follow shortly afterwards. Most web sports are organized into dimensional conferences, and the champion of the dimensional conferences compete against each other in playoffs.
