Malmund

Warlord Malmund was once the most powerful clan lord in mountainous Southern Beorn. He and his clan were dragon worshippers, whose warriors came down from the mountains to hunt the wild yellow drakes that roamed in the desert foothills. The warriors dressed in armor fashioned from dragon hides, and wielded spears made of dragon bones; they called themselves "Dregün," and believed that by drinking the blood of the drakes they would be gifted with draconic strength and the ability to fly.

Conerick earned the fealty of Malmund, and the service of the leaping Dregün warriors, by giving up his youngest sister, Sarina, in marriage to the Dregün warlord.
