DeLaykrinn

The "Other Side" of the Bloodbane Mountains...

The "Legion DeLaykrinn" is an empire ruled by The First, Vonkrick-no Laykrinn. The entire Empire's population is around six million divided into strictly maintained and regulated sectors. It is based in one small state, roughly 750 kilometers square. The land on the other side of the Bloodbane Mountains is actually much larger than that, about fifty times, but the entire empire is based in this small section because of DeLaykrinn's history.

The past of DeLaykrinn is much like Aryth itself. Magic Users, because of their special abilities, were left in command of the masses. This continued until a time when a handful of Magic-Users with superior magic abilities tried to overthrow the government and rule the DeLaykrinn, once called Gnall, by force alone. Their leader's name was Jinasto-no Kiann, who was the most powerful and ambitious sorcerer that the world known as Gnall had ever seen.

It took the efforts of millions, including many magic-users themselves, to take down that handful of sorcerers. When the storm had calmed thousands had lost their lives taking down Jinasto-no. The world of Gnall was thrown in turmoil. The people, despite the magic-users most honest efforts, could not trust magicians anymore. Rioting and corruption bred and took over Gnall for the next twenty years.

It was at that time a man by the name of Viashin-no Laykrinn calmed the people and brought them together with a masterful plan. The first step was to capture each and every last magician. Vonkrick had developed a special device, a leash of sorts, which was capable of rendering control of a magician's power to whoever held the handle of the leash, rendering the magic user helpless. Using the power of the captured magic users, which were named Runal, they built a new empire in the center of their world. Expanding the 750 miles square, it was all government controlled, all jobs were dispersed by the new kingdom. Their goal -- to keep magic users contained and to keep only what belongs in Gnall, in Gnall.

The world was renamed DeLaykrinn in honor of their great emperor.

Now, seventy years later, the heir of the rule of DeLaykrinn is Vonkrick-no Laykrinn. He carries on the rule much as his fater did.

Vonkrick's Staff

Deloko-no Arna: Deloko is an intelligent advisor who is considered about the current Runal situation. The other side of the Bloodbane mountains has been discovered, and it has also been discovered that it is ruled by magic users. The nation of DeLaykrinn came into contact with the OmniSent, and gave them leashes. Deloko was in charge of DeLaykrinn's involvement with the OmniSent. He fears magic users like death, and refuses to take one under his wing.

Marwa-nu Byine: Marwa is in charge of DeLaykrinn's expansion and the public "opinion." She is also in charge of the Gedon, a secret police dispatched in the name of DeLaykrinn. She thoroughly enjoys her job. She, unlike Deloko, enjoys the "power" of the Runal, among other things, and collects as many as she can feasibly support.

Jenwell-nu Tara: Jenwell was the commanding officer of a group of DeLaykrinns sent to support the OmniSent by demonstrating to them the leash and helping develop the magic orbs that were used for teleporting the Zevins. Jenwell is extremely loyal to Vonkrick, and is disappointed to report the OmniSent's loss in Aryth.

Machu-no Yander: In charge of keeping DeLaykrinn's army organized and trained. He is anxious to have Vonkrick attack Aryth now, as he is sure they can destroy the Five Great Nations in their current state and bring their magic resources to their side, but Vonkrick holds back, certain that they should take care of the Phyrex before setting their sites higher.

The Phyrex

The Phyrex are an underground group of magic users who have escaped the wrath of DeLaykrinn and organized a resistance effort in what the DeLaykrinns call the "Fringe," better known as the land outside of the empire.

The Phyrex themselves are cruel, unyielding in regaining what they want -- the return of magic-users in the head of power for all of DeLaykrinn. In charge of the movement is one known as "The Highest." Her name.. is simply Roslyn-nu. She dresses in dark armor and seeks to become the most powerful magic user in the dimension of Aryth. She's close, too. She's developed a means to bleed the mana out of magicians and absorb it herself. It's complicated, it always costs the magician its life, and it only takes a small portion of the mana from the drained, but it has accumulated into Roslyn's already potent power, perhaps making her the strongest magic-user in the Aryth Dimension. She is also a powerful warrior -- advanced training has made her the fastest and strongest warrior in the Phyrex. She is also the smartest -- which explains how she came to be at the head.

The Highest also has three sub-generals, titled "The Ascended."

Sypha-nu: Where-as Roslyn-nu dresses darkly and prefers short, curved blades, Sypha-nu dresses in bright white and uses long, thin swords as her weapon of choice. Her magical ability is surpassed by several within the Phyrex; however she is a powerful warrior, her speed second only to Roslyn herself. She is also very smart. She is potent in the magics of healing.

Disk-no: Disk is Roslyn's most powerful warrior -- a bodyguard, almost. He seems qualified for little else, since he is quite dim-witted. He has talents in magic, however.. natural, as it would be. His abilities with fire are incredible though incontrollable, and he is capable of mass-destruction on a most wide scale.

Chaos: This creature-freak that Roslyn recruited is a surprisingly smart one-eyed beast. His intelligence is second only to Roslyn herself. He is very potent in magic, and can use the power in creative ways that can even surprise Roslyn. He is also a powerful fighter, his towering figure and bulging muscles nearly competing with Disk.
