View source for Second Mana War

Although much less destructive than the [[First Mana War]] of 1000 WB, the Second Mana War (taking place around 500 WB) was still a severe shock to the [[dimension]]. [[Thanatos]] manipulated an empire that ruled much of the [[Woldheim continent]], and used that power to once again raise the [[Mana Fortress]], which he then used to destroy the [[Mana Tree]]. The world tried to balance mana again by sending the [[Mana Beast]] to destroy the fortress; however, the [[Mana Knight]] once again saved the world, aided by the [[Mana Sword]] and the power of the [[Mana Seeds]]. (Beginning to understand why this is called the [[Mana Dimension]]?) 

In the aftermath of the war many early magitek devices such as the sandship built by [[Tasnica]] and the mechrider cycles used by the Empire did not work; the technology was abandoned and not picked up until five centuries later when it was imported from the [[Esper Dimension]]. Sprites, which also vanished in the wake of the Second Mana War, began to reappear when the [[Web]] was discovered. This has led many to theorize that the Mana War decreased the ambient level of magic in the dimension significantly, but when it was connected to the rest of the Web, [[mana]] levels rose. This is connected to the idea that the [[strand]]s and [[gate]]s act as aqueducts of magical energy.

Following the war there was an age of peace and prosperity.
